THE EXTERMINATING ANGELS is the second part of filmmaker provocateur Jean-Claude Brisseaus (Choses Secretes, A lAventure) startling trilogy exploring societal taboos. Director Francois (Frederic van den Driessche) is fascinated by the mystery surrounding women and sexual pleasure. Intent on making a film about the subject, he auditions a series of actresses, encouraging them to enact their most secret, forbidden desires. Watched over by two fallen angels, Francois immersion into the world of his performers fantasies threatens to destroy him. Brisseaus sexually charged film, whose philosophical inquiry into pleasures of the flesh is often leavened by his sly humour, is a provocative and intense experience.
