Magformers Curve 40 Set

The Curve 40 set features 40 pieces and is a larger set for building spheres and other 3D shapes with curved edges and surfaces. The box contains 8 squares, 8 quadrants, 8 cylinders (arches), 8 cone parts and 8 sphere sections. Like the smaller Curve 20 set it is a fantastic tool to explain the different properties of curved edge shapes in either 2D or 3D forms and to develop childrens mathematical vocabulary. Multiple sets can be combined to investigate symmetry, turns, or to visually explain radius, diameter and circumference as well as circles and semi-circles, arcs and other terms. Various 3D models can be made with this set including spheres, hemispheres, quarter spheres, cylinders, half cylinders and so on.
