Broadcast in the 1960s, The Frost Report was a watershed moment in British television comedy. Not only did it give John Cleese, Ronnie Barker and Ronnie Corbett their first prominent roles on British television, but it also assembled a team of writers that was to cast an influence over British comedy for decades to come. Bill Oddie, Tim Brooke-Taylor, Antony Jay, Barry Cryer, Marty Feldman, Frank Muir, Denis Norden, Keith Waterhouse, Willis Hall, David Nobbs, Peter Tinniswood and the Monty Python team formed the core of the show's writing talent.
